About the Farm and about Us

Suisun Valley has been a part of our family history for 7 generations over the course of the last 180 years. Since their settlement in this area, our past generations have always farmed the land. Our grandparents farming as next door neighbors. Today we continue to farm tree and row crops. We also have great love for animals of all kinds. For many years, we helped our children learn to raise and respect animals through the 4-H and FFA. Just as our parents did with us growing up. We keep a few head of Angus cattle to roam and graze the hills and we annually raise a few feeder steers for family freezers.  With 68 acres of both flat land and rolling hills , a 4 acre pond and a creek, our pets and other animals have plenty of space to stretch their legs and live a little.

We grow small amounts of walnuts, oranges, prunes, apricot, berries and wine grapes on our farm in addition to our few head of cattle. We also offer preserves that we make with our produce. We have a small roadside stand and Larry sells our products at the farmers markets in San Francisco (ferry building) and Moraga on the weekends when our goods are in season.

We began breeding doodles in 2018. It began as Maria’s passion for animals and especially for dogs. Maria has been very fortunate to meet some very helpful knowledgeable breeders along the way that have been very helpful, Gail and Kevin from Gail’s Doodles in Templeton and Becky From Loveable Labradoodles in Atascadero. Additionally our friend Rick from CDP Dogos, now our neighbor, is invaluable and always here to lend a hand, share knowledge and give advice.

We have three adult children with lives and careers of their own. Two young grand kids and bucket loads of extended family. Our farm is often the location of family events and gatherings. Our nieces and nephews and neighbors bring their kids to visit frequently especially when there are puppies to play with!
